Is my data kept safe and how?
We use the latest generation of servers and host them in fully redundant clusters which reside in different data centers for higher availability. Our servers are hosted with high availability requirements to prevent all common failure scenarios. For superior service levels, our data centers are equipped with dual electric feeds and multiple levels of physical and electronic security. All user data is backed-up on separate servers located on different data centers.
What happens in case of an emergency. Is my data still available?
What happens if there is a failure on one of your servers. Can I lose all my data?
Your data is backed up in real time once it is uploaded on our servers. We use different servers on different data centers for back-up. In the extreme case of a complete data center failure, a second data center will take over as the primary cluster.
Why and when am I disconnected from the service? What is an expired connexion? What added security does this represent?
You are automatically disconnected from the service when you close your browser window or when you shut down your computer.
If you have several tabs open in your browser, you only need to log in once. Doing so prevents people from accessing your account when your computer is left idle.
What happens to my account data when my subscription comes to an end? Are they deleted?
Yes. Your data is your property and we do not keep any copy of your content.
When you reach the end of your subscription, the URL (web address) for your account becomes inactive. You can no longer have access to your data. The action of cancelling an account or subscription to an offering cannot be undone after the end of the subscription.
Unless we are compelled to do otherwise by law, your data is deleted immediately following a short technical delay.
Please note that we currently observe a 24 hour delay which is the time necessary for our Platform to launch the data deletion process for all cancelled accounts.
What is SSL?
SSL stands for « Secure Socket Layer ». This encryption technology is used to secure communication between servers and browsers.
The system uses certificates to ensure that the user is using the right service. The certificate is issued by an authorized certification body.
The SSL certificates used by GroupCamp are issued by Gandi (www.gandi.net) or Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com).
